Freddie Mullinax, 72, of 1000 S. Green River Road, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010, as the result of an automobile accident.

A native of Cherokee County, he was born on June 25, 1937. He was the son of the late Dobson and Ruby Grubb Mullinax.

Mr. Mullinax served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from the Timken Company.

Surviving Mr. Mullinax is his wife, Wanda Mullinax, of the home; three daughters, Debbie Wallace and husband Doc, Tammie Mullinax, and Cindy Jones and husband Billy; five grandchildren, Travis and Megan Wallace, Jeremy and Joseph Paxton, and Jamey Jones; four great-grandchildren, Adam Mayfield, Leland and Roland Wallace, and Madison Paxton; and a brother, Mendell Mullinax and wife Kay.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Cherokee County Humane Society, PO Box 2223, Gaffney, SC 29342.
