Marvin Miller McDaniel

Mr. Marvin Miller McDaniel, 91, of 5060 Peachtree Street, Hickory Grove, passed away on Thursday night, June 17, 2010, at his residence.

Mr. McDaniel was born in Smyrna, the husband of Mary Phillips McDaniel, and was the son of the late Will McDaniel and the late Selena Alexander McDaniel. He was a retired printing/finishing operator in the Textile Industry, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by a daughter, Alice Nichols of Hickory Grove; three sons, John William McDaniel of the home, Floyd McDaniel and Jimmy McDaniel, both of Hickory Grove; one brother, Guy McDaniel of Smyrna; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four greatgreat grandchildren.

Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd McDaniel; a sister Ruth Smith; two brothers, Leslie and Charles McDaniel, and two grandchildren, Brian Moss and Dean McDaniel.

Visitation for Mr. Peeler was Saturday, June 19, 2010 from at the Hickory Grove Church of God in Hickory Grove.

Funeral Services were held Sunday, June 20, 2010, at 3 p.m. in the Hickory Grove Church of God, conducted by the Revs. Michael Goodwin and Bart Plaxco.

He was buried in Hickory Grove Cemetery immediately following the service

The family will be at the residence, 5060 Peachtree Street, Hickory Grove.

The family has entrusted the care of Mr. McDaniel to the Shuford- Hatcher Funeral Home in Gaffney, S.C..
