“TH E FOREIGNER” ARRIVES IN GAFFNEY
The Gaffney Little Theatre became a "crazy house” of sorts last weekend as the the performing arts venue presented "The Foreigner” to a mass audience.
In this comic romp, the scene is a fishing village in rural Georgia, visited by "Froggie" LeSeuer, a British demolition expert who occassionally runs training exercises at a nearby military base. This time "Froggie" has brought along a friend, a pathologically shy young man named Charlie. So Froggie tells everyone that Charlie is from an exotic country and speaks no English. Charlie overhears more than he should about sinister evil plans and the fun begins.
The role of Froggie was played by Brendan Franks and the part of Charlie is portrayed by Zachary Sampson.
Other actors included Joey Mayberry as Ellard, LaDonna White as Betty, Michael Campbell as David, Melissa Scott as Catherine, and Dan Herrin as Owen. Susan Baxter Ferguson was director of this hilarious comedy.
