The Cherokee Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) came up with a great way to raise funds for its charitable endeavors — giving area residents a chance to “Dunk a Cop” at the Peach Festival in Blacksburg on Saturday. Every year, the local FOP lodge raises funds to buy Christmas presents for area children and supplies for area seniors as well as for local law enforcement professionals who fall on hard times because of injuries or tragedies.
