Area artists sponsoring ‘y’art sale’ July 12-17
Once again during the South Carolina Peach Festival, the Cherokee Alliance of Visual Artists (CAVA) will have its “Peachy Sale” in the CAVA Art Gallery, 301 N. Limestone St.
The CAVA Art Gallery and Gaffney Visitors Center will soon be relocating to the renovated old post office at the corner of Granard and Frederick streets.
According to the sponsors, the artists of CAVA have decided to make this year’s sale a truly “must see” event.
CAVA artists will provide items under $50 for sale and for an added treat, they will have used and recycled art supplies for purchase. There will be chairs, tables and other miscellaneous items for sale that can’t be used in the new location.
It will be a yard sale and an art sale combined– a y’art sale. CAVA promises to have something for everyone who visits the gallery.
The money raised from this event will go toward the development of an art curriculum and future art supplies for the community. CAVA’s new location will have more space and promises to have a full calendar of classes, lectures, workshops and exhibits within the coming year.
