Otis Franklin “Frankie” Allison, 65, of 1337 Corinth Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at his residence.

Born in Shelby, N.C., he was the husband of Joyce Pierce Allison and son of the late Otis Junior Allison and Eurminie Mackey Allison. He was retired from Hamrick Mills, a graduate of Gaffney High School and a Mason and Shriner. Mr. Allison was a member of El Bethel Methodist Church in Kings Mountain, N.C.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Anita Elder and husband, Mike, and Cyndi Leary, all of Gaffney; two brothers, James Allison and wife, Nancy, of Blacksburg and Clarence Allison and wife, Connie, of Sacramento, Calif.; four sisters, Freda Howie and husband, Jerry, of Belmont, N.C., Jeanne Short and husband, Bill, and Norma Jones and husband, Tom, all of Kings Mountain, and Patsy Bush and husband, Glenn, of Gastonia, N.C.; a mother-in-law, Lillie Pierce of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Brandon Elder, Kristen Elder, Sloane Leary and Jade Leary; and three greatgrandchildren, Leland Elder, Lexi Elder and Bristol Elder.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lola West.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 30, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

Services will be held Thursday, July 1, at 11 a.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Delos Blanton and Mr. Ashby L. Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Draytonville Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic rites by the Gaffney Lodge.

Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

The family will be at the residence.
