Arthur Maynor
Henry Arthur Maynor, 95, of 125 Beltline Road, Apt. 50, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 4, 2010, at his residence.
Born in Cherokee County, he was the widower of Ruby Spencer Maynor and son of the late Bedford Maynor and Nannie Sanders Maynor. He was retired from Limestone Manufacturing after 33 years of service. Mr. Maynor was a member of Open Door Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Ellis and husband, Dean, and Jean Lovingood and husband, Bud, all of Gaffney; four sons, Ben Maynor and wife, Mary Jo, Larry Maynor and wife, Betty, Carl Maynor and Ricky Maynor and wife, Cindy, all of Gaffney; 10 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
Mr. Maynor was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Joyce Maynor; five brothers, Roy Maynor, Paul Maynor, Thomas Maynor, Earl Maynor and R.M. Maynor; and four sisters, Lois Maynor Spencer, Florence Maynor Porter, Estelle Maynor Spencer and Florie Maynor Sellars Lester.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 5, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
Services will be Tuesday, July 6, at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely and the Rev. Dennis Tolley officiating. Interment will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Members of the family will be at their respective homes.
