ELAINE MOSS
BLACKSBURG – Margaret Elaine Callahan Moss, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Wendover Hospice House.
Born in Earl, N.C., she was the widow of Russell Moss. Mrs. Moss was retired from Hoechst Celanese and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Diane Overstreet and husband, Darrel, of Blacksburg and Lynn Moss and husband, Thomas, also of Blacksburg; two grandchildren, Ellen Stebbins of Charleston and Rusty Moss and wife, Amanda, of Gaffney; five greatgrandchildren whom she adored, Jackson Stebbins, Reese Stebbins, Ayden Moss, Garrett Moss and Mason Moss; and two sisters, Carolyn Callahan Kuykendall of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Patricia Callahan McCullough of Shelby, N.C.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
Services will be held Tuesday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe Kanipe, Bill Ford and Norman Philbeck officiating. Interment will be in Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wendover Hospice House, 953 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
The family will be at their respective homes.
