Jonathan Kyle Howell and Katharine Elizabeth Sossamon Cody and Sherry Sossamon of Gaffney and Lissa Sossamon of Greenville announce the engagement of their daughter, Katharine Elizabeth, to Jonathan Kyle Howell of Mt. Pleasant.

Miss Sossamon is the granddaughter of Louis Sossamon and the late Kathryn Sossamon and the late Ernie and Libby Leggett. She earned a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina in 2004 and is a second grade teacher.

Mr. Howell is the son of Kyle and Mary Martha Howell of Evans, Ga. His grandparents are Kyle and Jamie Howell, Lillian Deckelman and the late John Deckelman. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of South Carolina-Aiken in 2001 and is principal consultant with Blackbaud.

The wedding is planned for July 24 at Limestone Presbyterian Church in Gaffney.
