LANDRUM –Bobby Lee Spencer, 80, of 410 Belue Mill Road, died Monday, July 12, 2010, at Smith Phayer Hospice House.

A native of Gaffney, he was the son of the late Roy and Rebecca Putnam Spencer and husband of

Opal F. Gillispie Spencer. He was

retired from the

U.S. Navy and from the Greenville Hospital System as a programmer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, David Spencer of Sumter, Vicki Giles of Landrum, Douglas Spencer of Greer and William "Billy" Spencer of Landrum; a brother, Garrett Spencer of Spartanburg; a sister, Becky Wolfe of Gaffney; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Petty Funeral Home.

Services will be held Thursday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at Petty Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home, 410 Belue Mill Road.
