Judy Rebecca Goforth Hill, 67, of 201 Columbus Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 12, 2010, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Union County, she was the wife of Walter Hill Jr. and daughter of the late Samuel Clyde Goforth and Ruby Rebecca Montgomery Goforth. Mrs. Hill was a retired executive secretary, a Meals on Wheels volunteer and a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Jeff S. Hill and wife, Sloan, of York, Craig S. Hill and wife, Karen, of Sumter, and Doug S. Hill and wife, Erica, of Gaffney; seven brothers, Preston Goforth, Bill Goforth, Neal Goforth, Wayne Goforth, Wilford Goforth, Wilbur Goforth and Mike Goforth; four sisters, Doris Garner, Dell Byars, Margie Stubbs and Susan Jones; and seven grandchildren, Adrian Hill, Chase Hill, Trayton Hill, Gage Hill, Courtney Hill, Josie Hill and Colton Hill.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Hunter Hill, and two brothers, Frank Goforth and Johnny Goforth.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, July 15, at 11 a.m. at Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Clyde Thomas and the Rev. Stuart Kersey officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342.
