Larry Roger Jones, 66, of 326 Sierra St., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the widower of Frieda Dianne Waddell Jones and son of the late Jim Jones and Rubye Shell Jones Parker and the stepson of the late Ralph Parker. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by two sons, Larry Charles Jones and David Paul Jones, both of Gaffney; a daughter, Darlene Jones of Gaffney; a sister, Novella Parker and husband, Harlond, of Gaffney; five grandchildren, Brad Jones, Austin Jones, Devin Jones, Delanie Jones and Aubree Jones; special nieces, Faye Dickson and Dee McAbee; and a special friend, Jo Ann Bailey.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 18, from 1-2 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby L. Blakely officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Cherokee County Unit, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.

The family will be at the home, 326 Sierra St., and also at the home of Novella Parker, 228 Old Race Track Road.
