Shana Culbreth Degraffenreid

SPARTANBURG – Shana Culbreth Degraffenreid, 34, of 124 Fernridge Drive, passed away Tuesday, July 13, at 4:18 a.m. at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.

Daughter of Michael Culbreth and Cora Brackett Culbreth, she was born on Aug. 19, 1975, in Spartanburg and was raised in Holy Temple and Mt. Calvary Baptist churches. She was currently attending Redemption World Outreach in Greenville. A graduate of Broome High School, Class of 1994, she received her B.A. from USC-Spartanburg and her Master’s from Webster’s University in Greenville. She was a counselor at Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center and Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Spartanburg Community College.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Chantez R. Degraffenreid of the home; a sister, Charlene Martin of Spartanburg; grandmother, Corrie Brackett of Cowpens; and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, July 17, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. McKinley Miles and Tony Macomson officiating. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Interment will be in church cemetery.

The family is at 142 Pacolet Road, Cowpens.
