Miss Owens, Mr. Cutchin wed June 19

MR. AND MRS. RICHARD LEE CUTCHIN II MR. AND MRS. RICHARD LEE CUTCHIN II Jessica Nicole Owens and Richard Lee Cutchin II were united in marriage on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at First Baptist Church of Gaffney. Pastor Charles Hyatt officiated the double ring ceremony at 4 p.m.

Vocalists were Amy Jennifer Harvey, who sang “From this Moment”; MyKessa Hyatt, who sang “When God Made You”; and Caleb Sibbett and Mark Bunch, who sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “When You Say You Love Me.”

Dr. David Thompson, pianist, played “Trumpet Tune” and “Cannon in D.”

The pews, candelabra and handrails outside the church were adorned with coral flowers and white bows. The altar and windows were enhanced with candles and mixed arrangements of red, white and pale coral roses, lilies, hollyhocks, yellow and white daisies complemented with mixed greenery.

Escorted and given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired a white strapless A-line gown of flowing silk taffeta. The back of the gown was detailed with miniature buttons that extended the full length of the dress and elegant train. The bodice was softly accented with diamond and pearl beading and a small bow. The bride’s waist-length white veil was edged with matching diamond and pearl beading and fell from a tiara. She carried a bouquet of white and coral roses and peonies accented with pale coral ribbon.

The bride was attended by her sister, Christina Deanna Owens, of Gaffney as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Barker of Whittier, N.C., MyKessa Hyatt of Chesnee and Tosha Chichon of Cowpens, friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Ashley Parris of Gaffney, niece of the bride.

The attendants wore gowns of coal silk taffeta encircled at the waistline with a wide ribbon that tied into a bow in the back. They carried bouquets of white and coral roses and peonies trimmed with coral ribbon.

Kessler Cutchin and Kamlyn Cutchin of Chesterfield, nieces of the groom, were flower girls. They were attired in ankle-length dresses of white organza embellished with a soft pale coral floral print. The dresses were accented at the waistline with a wide ribbon of coral silk that tied into a bow in the back. They carried white baskets filled with coral rose petals.

Jonathan Barrett of Cowpens, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

Jordan David Harrison Cutchin of Gaffney was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Dewey Barker of Whittier, N.C., James Grey of Boiling Springs, friends of the groom, and Gabriel Owens of Gaffney, brother of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Jimmy and Barbara Owens of Gaffney. Her grandparents are Marlo and Ruth Biesma of Tyndall, South Dakota, and the late Bobby and Odessa Mask who resided in Chesnee.

Mrs. Cutchin graduated in 2007 from Gaffney High School and received a degree in dental assisting this year from Spartanburg Community College.

The groom is the son of Dr. Richard C. and Melanie C. Cutchin of Gaffney. His grandparents are Mary Sue Cutchin, Virginia R. Oliver, both of Cheraw, Richard L. Cutchin and Cathy Cutchin of Littleton, N.C.

Mr. Cutchin graduated in 2008 from Gaffney High School and is a sophomore music education major at Limestone College, where is he also employed.

Mr. and Mrs. Cutchin are making their home in Gaffney after a wedding trip to Litchfield Beach.

Following the ceremony, the Owens family entertained with a reception at the Radisson Hotel in Spartanburg.
