Mr. and Mrs. Ken Owens Mr. and Mrs. Ken Owen of Gaffney are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, July 23, 2010. Mrs. Owen is the former Gwen Frank of Friendsville,Tenn.

Mr. Owen is retired from Invista and Mrs. Owen retired from the Cherokee County School System.

The couple were given a surprise party by their four children, Tammy Price and husband, Earl, Kim Callahan and husband, Robert, Deedie Phillips and husband, Greg, and Kennith Owen and wife, Amy. The couple have eight grandchildren, John-“T” and Brittany Ramsey, Alan and Clay Phillips, Isaac and Emily Owen, and the late Haley Callahan; and one great-grandchild, Kalvyn Ramsey.
