LIMESTONE COLLEGE LIFEGUARDS WIN EXHIBITION – The Limestone College lifeguarding team of Adam Caldwell, Daniel Moss and Dustin Batchler took first place honors in Irene Municipal Pool's annual lifeguard exhibition held Monday. One of Irene's three teams finished second and another tied one of Cherokee National Golf and Recreation Club's two teams for third. Designed for in-service training to encourage guards to improve their rescue skills, the competitive exhibition had two swimming events and four rescue scenarios. Irene Pool, located at 305 W. Montgomery St., is open Monday through Saturday from 1:30-4:50 p.m. Admission is $2 per person. The pool can be rented for private use before and after regular hours for $50 per hour.
