Cherokee Falls Baptist Church, 109 School St., Cherokee Falls, will have a gospel singing Sunday, July 25, at 6 p.m. featuring The Hamptons.
Kingdom Connection Community Outreach will be held at Collins Park in Spartanburg on Saturday, July 24, from noon until 7 p.m. There will be free food, praise and mimi dancing, singing, face painting, special guest speakers with educational information on substance abuse, domestic violence, financial counseling and health screening. New Harvest Ministries, 215 Pecan St., will have homecoming services Sunday, July 25, at 10 a.m. Pastor Vernell Wilson from Temple Grain Ministries, Gaffney, will be ministering. A meal will follow the service. Everyone welcome.

Bible schools
Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 919 Overbrook Drive, will have Vacation Bible School and Drama Camp, themed "The Race is On!," July 26- 30. VBS will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. for pre-k through 6th grade. The drama camp option is from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. for k-6th grades. Lunch is included for those who attend VBS and drama camp. Park Hills Baptist Church on Leadmine Road will have Vacation Bible School July 25-29 from 5-8:30 p.m. On Wednesday and Thursday nights, horses from Canaan Farms will be at the "Rodeo" for children to ride, with permission from their parents. The church invites the community to attend.

Volunteers needed
Agape Hospice, a faith-based ministry, of Rock Hill needs compassionate and caring volunteers to provide support to terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers are trained at no charge. American Volunteer
voting ends Aug. 1
The polls are open for the 2010 American Volunteer Contest sponsored by the American Association of Meals on Wheels. Mickey Harmon, a volunteer with Cherokee County Meals on Wheels, is one of 17 contestants vying for the honor. The winner of the contest will receive MOWAA’s annual Jody Tepedino Nicholo Award and his/her nominating MOW program will receive $1,000. The polls will close on August 1.
