Maternal great-grandparents are Rosetta Dawkins, Wilie Ellis Sr., both of Gaffney, the late Howard Dawkins and the late Lillie Ellis. Paternal greatgrandparents are Willie Pearl Bridges of Gaffney and the late Mr. and Mrs. Grady Littlejohn Sr.

Leyah has an uncle, Willie Ellis III, and an aunt, Shanna Norris.
