Maternal great-grandparents are the late Alfred and Lois Bramblett of Winter Haven, Fla., and the late Levi and Ethel Johnson of Guntown, Miss. Paternal great-grandparents are the late Barney Martin of Gaffney, the late Lucille M. Earls of Blacksburg and the late Ray and Viola Whitaker of Johnson City, Tenn.
