A lawn mower was reported stolen from College Drive.
According to the Gaffney Police Department, someone took a Craftsman lawn mower from a property in the 400 block between 6 p.m. July 19 and 8 a.m. July 20.
The 22-inch self-propelled mower is valued at $350.
More than $700 in home furnishings and goods were reported stolen following the recent break-in of a home on Arlanda Drive.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone forced entry to a home in the 100 block between July 8 and July 22.
The thief or thieves took a rug, a microwave, miscellaneous dishes, home furnishings and a smoke detector.
Damage was estimated at an additional $100.
A shotgun was reported stolen following a break-in on Carson Drive.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office reported that someone forced entry to a home in the 100 block between 6 p.m. July 13 and 8:30 p.m. July 22 and took a singleshot 12-gauge shotgun.
Theft and damage losses are estimated at $475.
A pistol was reported stolen from a Wendy Drive, Blacksburg, home.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone took a HiPoint .45- caliber pistol from a residence in the 100 block between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. July 20.
The gun is valued at $220.
About $20 in medication was reported stolen following a break-in on Ford Road.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a break-in in progress in the 1300 block at about 3:18 a.m. July 22.
Upon arrival, a deputy found someone had smashed the front door glass to gain entry to the home.
Medication was the only thing reported missing.
A parked vehicle was struck by gunfire on Moda Road in Blacksburg recently.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred in the 300 block between 10 p.m. July 17 and 10 p.m. July 18.
A vehicle was struck in the side with an unknown caliber firearm, causing about $200 in damage.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office reported the theft of a handgun from a residence that was burglarized on Webber Road.
According to a police report, someone entered a residence in the 100 block between 11 a.m. July 17 and 3 p.m. July 18 and took a .38-caliber Taurus revolver which is chrome-colored and has a six-inch barrel.
The gun is valued at $450.
About $1,000 in copper and electrical parts were reported stolen following the burglary of a York Road business.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone gained entry to a property in the 500 block between 5 p.m. July 19 and 9:30 a.m. July 20 and took copper wire and breaker boxes.
More than $1,800 in property was reported stolen following the burglary of a Blacksburg Highway home.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone forced entry to a home in the 1400 block between 9 p.m. July 19 and 8:35 a.m. July 21 and took a 27- inch Sanyo television, a Playstation 3 game system with two controllers, various Playstation video games, a window air conditioning unit, a tool bag and stereo.
