Sparks receives degree from Culinary Institute of Carolinas

Seth Sparks of Gaffney graduated May 11, 2010, from the Culinary Institute of the Carolinas at Greenville Tech.

Sparks is the son of Chip and Vicki Weatherford and Charley and Velvet Sparks of Gaffney. He was named to the Culinary Institute of the Carolinas Dean’s List for the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters and was employed by the Culinary Institute of the Carolinas as a lab assistant both semesters.

Sparks was awarded the prestigious American Hotel and Lodging Association Scholarship for the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters.

Chef Seth was also employed by Azia, a Global Fusion restaurant in Greenville, parttime his Spring semester and upon his graduation is now a full-time chef at Azia of Greenville.
