Irate at what she says is misuse of power by former school district boss
Dear Cody:
As a teacher and a taxpayer of this county I am irate at the misuse of power by the former Cherokee County school superintendent and assistant superintendent. I feel certain, having dealt with Dr. (Bill) James and Andy Jones that what you have uncovered so far is just the tip of the iceberg.
Every taxpaying citizen in this county should be demanding a full forensic audit regardless of the cost.
I am disgusted, but not surprise, that Mr. Jones was appointed to a position with little if no experience and that he placed his daughter in a teaching position that she was not certified to have.
In my book this is almost like stealing from the taxpayers. I have often questioned why we ever needed two assistant superintendents to begin with. One would think with that many chiefs the schools could have been visited a little more often. I wonder just how much money has been wasted and how many others are involved.
Yes Cody, I think you should keep digging.
