Blax Station will present the music at Meals on Wheels' annual luau on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m. at Broad River Electric Auditorium. The Cherokee County Service Center of the American Red Cross is offering the following community classes this month. The schedule includes:

Aug. 7: Standard First Aid and CPR-Adult/AED, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., fee; Aug. 9, CPR-Adult Child and Infant Review, 6-10 p.m., fee; Aug. 10, Standard First Aid, 6-9:30 p.m., fee; Aug. 12, New Volunteer Orientation, 10 a.m., free; Aug. 13, Standard First Aid, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., fee; Aug. 14, Babysitter's Training (for ages 11-15), 9 a.m.-4 p.m., fee; Aug. 17, CPR-Adult, Child and Infant, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., fee; Aug. 17, New Volunteer Orientation, 5:30 p.m., free; Aug. 21, Babysitter's Training (for ages 11-15), 9 a.m.-4 p.m., fee; Aug. 28: Babysitter's Instructor Bridge Class, for educators, nurses and teachers who would like to become a BST instructor, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., fee. During August, the Red Cross is offering a BOGO on classes for Standard First Aid and CPR-Adult classes only. Call the office for more details.
