Frank Brindle
SHELBY–Bobby Franklin “Frank” Brindle, 71, of 2411 Shoal Creek Church Road, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Rutherford County, N.C., he was born on Dec. 14, 1938, to the late
Ken and Minnie
Brindle. He was a
veteran, serving in the United States Army. Frank was retired from the heating and air industry. He was an avid poker player, loved his family and loved spending time with them all. He will be missed by many, including his beloved dog, Sassy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Grace Greene, Cleo Freeman and Pauline Nodine, and by a brother, John Brindle.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Brindle of the home; a daughter, Crystall Brindle of Shelby; a son, Ronnie Hamrick of Grover; a son, Tommy Hamrick and his wife, Missy, of Shelby; and a daughter, Donna Ruppe and her husband, David, of Shelby. He is also survived by a sister, Sue Griffin of Forest City, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Brindle of Kannapolis, N.C.; grandchildren, Allison Rogers of Shelby, Cameron Schrader of Shelby, Jennifer Ledbetter and husband, Wayne, of Shelby, David Ruppe Jr. of Shelby, Morgan Ruppe of Shelby, Tyler Hamrick of Shelby, Jessica Hamrick of Shelby and Amanda Burgess of Dallas, N.C.; and great-grandchildren, Chris Nolen of Grover and Matthew, Brayden and Gavin Ledbetter of Shelby.
A service celebrating the life of Mr. Brindle will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home with the Rev. Leroy Melton officiating. Interment will be in Fellowship Independent Baptist Church Cemetery, located on Christopher Road.
The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home.
