BLACKSBURG – Donna Maria Coombs Weldon, 49, of 700 Lookout Tower Road, passed away Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at her residence.

Daughter of Marie Wentworth Shultz of Glen Burnie, Md., and the late Carl Paul Coombs, Mrs. Weldon was a homemaker and member of The Salvation Army.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Michael Weldon; sons, Patrick Michael Weldon of the home, David Coombs and Christopher Coombs of Glen Burnie, Md.; a daughter, Cassandra Lynn Weldon of the home; three sisters, Patricia Wilmas, Verna Alton and Mary Nilas of Glen Burnie, Md.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Aug. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 305 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, with Sgt. Ken Bennett officiating.

The family is at the residence, where they will receive friends.
