Another local industry has launched an expansion.
According to sources with knowledge of the company, Boysen plans to spend about $6 million to expand operations at its Cherokee Corporate Park plant. The expansion is expected to generate about 20 new jobs.

The Ledger reported Monday that Milliken has begun work on a 16,210-square-foot expansion to its Blacksburg operations facility. The building will house a new plating process, according to the latest local homebuilders report. The textile maker plans to invest $1.2 million in the building itself, Cherokee County Building Official Chuck Bobo said.
Another company, ammunitions maker DSE Inc., is planning a 7,000-square-foot expansion that will add jobs — maybe as many as 100 — to its workforce, Bobo said.
