GROVER, N.C. – Charles Ray Peterson, 26, of 764 Battleground Road, passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at Cleveland County Jail Annex.

Mr. Peterson was the son of John Alexander and Gloria Gail Wilson Peterson of the home. He worked with a lawn service business and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Peterson is survived by two daughters, Kayla Nicole Peterson and Alayna Michelle Crawford Peterson, both of the home; and a sister, Cathy Renee Peterson of the home.

Visitation was Sunday, Aug. 22, from 7 9 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary.

Services were held Monday, Aug. 23, at 4 p.m. in Gordon Mortuary Chapel with the Revs. Timothy Whitaker and Josh Hardin officiating. Interment was in Clingman Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Timmy Peterson, William Huffstetler, Kevin Patterson, Bobby Wooten, Dean Wilson and Chris Ray.

The family will be at the residence.
