Robert Junior Oglesby, 65, of 125 Beltline Road, Apt. 23, passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at 3 a.m. at his residence.

Son of the late Stacy Oglesby and the late Arstrilla Jones Oglesby, he was born Aug. 1, 1944, in Gaffney. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired after being self-employed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Lewis Oglesby and James Edward Oglesby.

Surviving are three sons, Robert Oglesby Jr. of Gastonia, N.C., Christopher Oglesby of Shelby, N.C., and Leonard Norris of Boiling Springs, N.C.; a daughter, Tammy Crocker of Shelby, N.C.; two brothers, Harold Oglesby and William Harvery Oglesby, both of Gaffney; three sisters, Janie Dukes, Shirley Hollis and Brenda Davis, all of Gaffney; three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
