On the down side, the Indians committed three turnovers, which Dorman turned into 14 points.

“We aren’t going to panic,” Gaffney offensive coordinator Donnie Littlejohn said. “It’s a long season.”

Littlejohn said the offense will become more productive when the players “do what they are coached to do.”

That means the offense must take better advantage of the weaknesses in the defense.

“If the defense is giving us the flat, we need to take the flat,” he said.

The wide receivers continue to do their part. Quinshad Davis had his second straight 100-yard receiving game with six catches for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Ryan Frock, who missed most of the preseason with an injury, had two receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown.

After just one catch in the opener, Khris Brown was more of a factor with four catches for 51 yards.
