STIRRING THE POT – Gaffney Masonic Lodge No. 186 member Jimmy Phillips stirs a big pot of beef hash at last year's Labor Day barbecue held to benefit Meals on Wheels. The lodge will sponsor another event on Labor Day, Sept. 6. The sale starts at 7 a.m. and continues until noon. The lodge is located at 219 E. Floyd Baker Blvd. Barbecue is $7 a pint; beef hash is $7 a pint; and slaw is $3 a pint. Proceeds will again go to Meals on Wheels.
