HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Roy Morton Cannaday Jr., 81, formerly of Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010.

Born in Peebles, Ohio, he was the widower of Marie Abbie Phillips Cannaday and son of the late Roy Cannaday Sr. and Lilly Mae Kelley Cannaday. He was retired from DataCard Corporation and was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by a daughter, Michele Maas and husband, John, of Homestead; a sister, Betty Taylor and husband, Lewis, of Grove City, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Brian Maas, Nicholas Maas and Krystine Maas.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Cannaday, and four sisters, Dorothy Cromer, Doris Pecora, Lucille Hurt and Mildred Conklin.

Arrangements will be announced by Blakely Funeral Home.
