BLACKSBURG – Dorothy O'Neal Walser, 67, of 134 McKee Drive, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Peachtree Centre.

Born in Rockingham, N.C., Mrs. Walser was the wife of Urban Walser of the home and daughter of the late Frank and Sadie Jordan O'Neal Clewis. Mrs. Walser was a homemaker, but volunteered at Blacksburg Middle School, and attended First Baptist Church of Blacksburg.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Walser is survived by a daughter, Debbie Sprouse and husband, Harold Sprouse Jr., of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Nicholas Sprouse of Blacksburg and Haley Sprouse of Gaffney; and a brother, Joel O'Neal and wife, Sheron, of Jacksonville, Fla.

Services will be held Friday, Sept. 3, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Blacksburg. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was Thursday, Sept. 2, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary.

The family will be at the residence.
