International Demolition Derby comes to Boiling Springs, N.C., Sept. 11, Sept. 18

The smell of an overflowing radiator, the sounds of flat spinning tires throwing mud, the smell and sounds of burning clutches and transmissions, the sound of metal crashing against metal, the roar of a crowd and the taste of great food... you’ll be treated to all that and more when the International Demolition Derby arrives at the Bar H Arena in Boiling Springs, N.C., on Sept. 11 and Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Each of the performances is a separate event. Top professional drivers will be participating. After many years of experience, many locals are included in the top professional list. The International Demolition Derby has a reputation for being the toughest demolition derby in the Southeast. The event was held for more than 25 years at the Cleveland County Fair but moved to the Bar H Arena in 2009.

Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12. Children under 6 are free.

The event’s sponsor, the Boiling Springs Fire and Rescue, will handle parking. There is no charge for parking but donations will be accepted.
