PEACHLAND, N.C. - Jeremy Trey “Bubba” Kirby, 17, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010.

Jeremy was born May 2, 1993, in Spartanburg, S.C., and was the son of James and Tonie Courtney of Peachland. He was a student at Anson High School.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Courtney, and uncle, Ricky Spencer.

In addition to his parents, Jeremy is survived by his brother, Jeff Kirby of Peachland; paternal grandmother, Patricia Courtney, and maternal grandparents, Ronnie Kirby of Earl, N.C., and Nina Burger of Gaffney, S.C.; uncles, Ron Courtney, Randy Kirby and Johnathon Courtney; aunts, Patty Kirby, Debbie Elliott and Nancy Long; a nephew, Conner Kirby; and a niece, KaDee Kirby.

A visitation was held Sunday, Sept. 5, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Indian Trail, N.C.
