Blacksburg native Ron Bishop, an avid Yankee fan, visited Yankee Stadium in New York City in August and took The Gaffney Ledger along. Larry and Margaret Glenn are shown here reading The Gaffney Ledger and enjoying Hawaii after the return of Larry from a recent deployment to Iraq. Larry served his second tour of duty. Also, Hawaii and Maui presented the couple plenty of memories for the celebration of their 20th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed reading the Ledger in the valley of the two mountains where the planes flew over on the day of the Pearl Harbor attack. 
Hannah Powell and Darby Blanton, Jr. recently visited Pisgah National Forest to celebrate Hannah's birthday and took along The Gaffney Ledger. Hannah will be 8 years old on Sept. 11. The photo was taken by Beverly Blanton.
