JOHN ALLEN JR. of Gaffney came within a few points of having a dead-solid perfect football contest entry.

Allen correctly predicted the winners of all 12 games in last week's contest and was only 3 points away from guessing the exact tie-break score.

Two other people also got all 12 games right but Allen's tie-breaker was the closest, making him $100 richer.
