Meetings

 The 4-F Club of Draytonville Baptist Church will meet Thursday, Sept. 9, at noon in the church’s Family Life Center.

 Tuesday Woman's Club will meet Sept. 14 at 4 p.m. at the Cherokee County History and Arts Museum. Hostesses will be Mrs. Gene Childers, Mrs. Lawrence Childers and Mrs. George Coggins.

Special event

 Friends of Antioch Baptist Church, Blacksburg, will meet Saturday, Sept. 11, in the fellowship hall from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. All are invited to come bring a wellfilled basket.

ACS program

 The American Cancer Society and Upstate Carolina Medical Center will host a free Look Good...Feel Better session for cancer patients on Monday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m.-noon at Upstate Carolina Medical Center, 1530 N. Limestone St. Call Malagni Mardis, 864- 490-5273, for reservations.

Church news

 The Kingdom Praise Choir of Antioch Baptist Church, 300 Serene Drive, will have a “Praize Party 2010” on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m.

 White Plains Baptist Church, 206 Soap Stone Road, will have a Pig Pickin’ on Saturday, Sept. 11, beginning at 3 p.m. with games for all ages. Food and a singing will be at 5 p.m.

Pancake breakfast

 The Gaffney Little Theatre will have a fundraising pancake breakfast at Fatz Cafe on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 8 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. All profits benefit the theatre. Walk-ins welcome. Cost of the breakfast is $8.
