Isaac Martin, Jr.

Mr. Isaac Martin, Jr., 68, of Champions Gate, Fla., husband of Mrs. Earnestine McDowell Martin, passed on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at his residence.

Son of the late Isaac Martin, Sr. and the late Ruth Dover Martin, he was born on Feb. 9, 1944, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Martin was a graduate of Erasmus High School of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a retired car sales person.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brian McDowell of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Michael Epps of Champions Gate; two daughters, Ms. Riketta Martin of Winston-Salem, and Ms. Kimora McDowell of Champions Gate; his sister, Ms. Linda Martin of Shelby, N.C.; five grandchildren; six uncles, Reverend Robert L. Dover (Dorothy) of Shelby, Arthur J. Dover (Edna), Clarence Dover (Marva) Charles Dover and Bobby Dover (Carolyn), all of Gaffney, and Dean Dover (Agnes) of Sherills Ford, N.C.; four aunts, Mrs. Willie Mae Norris and Mrs. Clementine Vanlue, both of Shelby, Mrs. Minnie Leach (Choice) of Gaffney and Mrs. Beatrice Foster of Greensboro, N.C.; his great uncle, John Johnson of Kingstown, N.C., two nephews, Aaron Martin (Nicole) of Raleigh, N.C., and Shomari Kee (Silvana) of Woodbridge, Va.; and a host of other relatives.

The family can be contacted at the home of his sister, Ms. Linda Martin at 1323 Wyanoke Avenue, Shelby, N.C.
