Doris Smith, 69, retired LPN, served in U.S. Army

Doris Marlene Pilkington Smith, 69, of 317 Dry Fork Road, went home to be with the Lord at her residence.

Born in Canton, N.C., she was the wife of the late James Truman Smith and daughter of the late Archie William Pilkington and Cleo Faye Passmore Pilkington. Mrs. Smith was a retired LPN, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Donna Gage of Pinellas Park, Fla.; a sister, Gladys Emerson of Canton, N.C.; two grandchildren, Kenny Aron Brown and Jessica Rene Brown; and two greatgrandchildren, Ava Lynne Brown and Tatum Rae Brown.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S.W. 102nd Ave., Bushnell, FL 33513.

The family is at their respective homes.
