Linda Greene, retired from Freightliner; loved arts and crafts

Linda Jean Solesbee Greene, 63, of 153 Ruth Drive, passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at MUSC in Charleston.

Born in Spartanburg, she was the wife of Carl Stanly Greene and daughter of the late Joseph Solesbee and Billie Jean Shropshire Solesbee. Mrs. Greene retired from Freightliner, was an artist, loved arts and crafts, and was an avid reader.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Candice Flores and husband, Enrique, of Spring Branch, Texas, and Donna Parsons and husband, Terry, of Midland, Mich.; two brothers, Tommy Solesbee and wife, Debbie, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Randy Solesbee of Charleston; a sister, Julie Howell and husband, James, of Fingerville; and five grandchildren, Olivia Flores, Hunter Parsons, Cruz Flores, Tyler Parson and Skyler Parsons.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Renee Schoolcraft.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Red Cross, P.O. Box 566, Gaffney, SC 29342.

The family is at the residence, 153 Ruth Drive, Gaffney.
