Frances Robinson, was a seamstress and worked in textiles

Frances McClain Robinson, 87, of Peachtree Center formerly of 400 Bonner Lake Road, Apt. A-2, widow of Wilbert Robinson Sr., answered the Master’s call on Friday, July 25, 2014, at 1:35 p.m. at Novant Health Gaffney Medical Center.

Daughter of the late Frank McClain and the late Jennie Green Mc- Clain, she was born March 19, 1927, in Cherokee County. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Wilbert Robinson Jr., and a sister, Viger Dill.

Mrs. Robinson was a member of Green Bethel Baptist Church, was a seamstress and worked in textiles.

She is survived by a son, James Robinson (Louise) of Gaffney; a niece whom she reared in the home, Jennie Zweesie; three grandchildren, Quensena Robinson, Jamie Robinson and Jacqueline Robinson; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other nieces, nephews and relatives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 30, at 3 p.m. at Green Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Mills McHam and the Rev. C.A. Wallace officiating. Interment will be in Limestone Cemetery. She will lie instate from 2 p.m. until the hour of the service.

The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, James and Louise Robinson,207 Magnolia St., Gaffney.
