The Tuesday Women’s Club met at the home of Mrs. Richard Baines on Tuesday, March 10. The meeting was turned over to the hostesses, Katie Baines, Jean Moore and Grace Murphy.

The theme for the meeting, “Love to Know,” was conducted by guest speaker Joe Moore whose hobby is woodmaking of items such as jewelry boxes, candle holders, key chains, handbells and many other interesting crafts.

Woodened items are made from woods such as Bethlehem Olivewood, Stabilized Spalted Maple, Double Dyed Stabilized Buckeye Burl just to name a few. Following the interesting program, tickets were drawn entitling each member a handmade prize.

The president, Nancy Brown, conducted a brief business session at which time canned goods were collected for donation to PeachCenter Ministries and refreshments were served.
