Grants available for Cherokee County nonprofits

The Cherokee County Community Foundation now accepting applications

The Cherokee County Community Foundation is currently accepting applications from eligible Cherokee County organizations including 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, congregations, governmental and educational institutions for its 2017 grant program.

In 2016, the Cherokee County Community Foundation awarded $16,750 in grant funding to local nonprofits. Grant awards ranged from $1,000 - $5,000.

Grants this year will be made to support programs that benefit Cherokee County residents and focus specifically on education, public health, family and youth, crime and safety or economic development. Proposals must fall within one of these areas to be considered. Additional information and guidance is available online.

To begin the application process, grant seekers are invited to visit the Online Grants Center and search for Cherokee County Community Foundation to access the online application.

Past applicants can log in to the Online Grants Center using their previously established account information. First-time applicants can create a new account.

Completed applications must be submitted online by noon on Friday, April 7, 2017. The system closes promptly at 12:00 p.m. and will not accept late submissions.

An informative webinar on how to apply for grants through the Online Grants Center can be viewed here. Contact Bridgette Todd with further questions about the application process at btodd@fftc.org or (704) 973-4520.
