Chick-fil-A ‘Shares the Love’ with canned food drive for Meals on Wheels

« »

Chick-fil-A of Gaffney recently sponsored an annual canned food drive benefiting Cherokee County Meals on Wheels. During the event, held Feb. 21 from 10:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., over 1,000 cans of food were donated. Patrons who donated five or more cans received a free chicken sandwich. Meals on Wheels will use the donations to replenish their stock used to help fight senior hunger in the county. Their supply had been low after the Christmas holiday season.

Meals on Wheels expresses their gratitude to Chick-fil-A and all who donated to the cause.

“Only through the help of companies and individuals in our community can we serve the over 400 clients who need our help to continue to live their lives in their homes,” said Terry Dennis, executive director for Cherokee County Meals on Wheels
