Mary Black Health System – Gaffney welcomes new CFO

GAFFNEY, S.C. – Mary Black Health System - Gaffney welcomes Christine Poplawski as the new Chief Financial Officer.

Poplawski is originally from North Carolina where she received her bachelors in Accounting from Gardner Webb University. She comes to the Gaffney hospital from Capital Medical Center in Washington where she served as CFO.

She previously served as Assistant Chief Financial Officer at Mary Black Health System – Spartanburg from 2008 until 2014.

“We are delighted to welcome Christine to our leadership team. Her background in finance aligns very well with our hospital’s priorities and commitment to being able to provide the best possible care for the patients and families in our community,” said Joshua Self, CEO of Mary Black Health System - Gaffney.

Self thanked previous CFO, Brett English, for his contributions. English accepted a new position as CFO of Mary Black Health System – Spartanburg. “We hate to see Brett go, but this is a tremendous opportunity for him and his family and we all wish him the very best.”
