Darrel Littlejohn

Mr. Darrel Littlejohn, affectionately called “Zip” by family and friends, age 60, of 614 Broad Street, Gaffney, South Carolina, answered the Master’s call on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

Son of the late Deacon J. C. Littlejohn, Sr. and the late Kathleen Ratchford Littlejohn, he was born on April 27, 1957, Gaffney. He was a dedicated member of Allen Temple C.M.E. Church where he served faithfully as a member of the All Male Chorus, Adult Choir, Usher Board, Sunday School and Bible Study. Mr. Littlejohn was a graduate of Gaffney High School, Class of 1975. He was a former employee for nineteen years of Carolina Cotton, Inc., Gaffney.

He is survived by his daughter, Ms. Kakisha Le’Shea Littlejohn of Baltimore, Maryland; four sisters, Ms. Olga M. Littlejohn, Ms. Catherine A. Littlejohn, Ms. Ada C. Littlejohn (Stanley) and Mrs. Sherry Davis, a cousin reared in the home as a sister, all of Gaffney; two brothers, Mr. Christopher W. Littlejohn (Shirley) and Mr. J. C. Littlejohn, Jr., both of Gaffney; his uncle, Mr. Roosevelt Littlejohn of Baltimore, Maryland, four aunts, Mrs. Kansie Ratchford of Gaffney, Mrs. Irene Littlejohn of Macon, Georgia, Mrs. Porshia Littlejohn of Baltimore, Maryland and Mrs. Jeanette Littlejohn of Manning, South Carolina; four god-sisters, Mrs. Sallie Coleman, Mrs. Shirley Searight, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Owens and Mrs. Bennie Agnew; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives.

The family can be contacted at the home of his sisters Ms. Olga M. Littlejohn and Ms. Ada C. Littlejohn at 503 Browning Road, Gaffney.
