Lenoria Camp

Mrs. Lenoria Dawkins Camp, age 85, of Golden Living, Charlotte, North Carolina, answered the Master’s call on Thursday morning, May 18, 2917, at 5:05 a.m. at her residence.

Daughter of the late Bee Dawkins and the late Minnie Byars Dawkins, she was born on July 24, 1931, in Cherokee County, South Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Leroy Camp. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Gaffney.

She is survived by four children, Mrs. Minnie Hunt (Reverend Vance) of Belmont, North Carolina, Mrs. Deidra C. Petty (Maurice) of Gaffney, Reverend Samuel Camp (Freddie Lou) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Mr. Eddie D. Camp of Granite Falls, North Carolina; seventeen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; other daughter-in-law, Mrs. Wanda J. Camp of Gaffney; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Trudy Dawkins of Gaffney and Mrs. Angie Camp Pope of Hickory, North Carolina; two special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Savannah Glass of Granite, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Foster Funeral Home of Gaffney in charge of arrangements.
