A man was taken to the hospital to be checked out following an odd emergency call Monday. Firefighters were dispatched regarding a report of an overturned vehicle with ejection in the area of Chesnee Highway and Scruggs Trail. But officials subsequently learned, after scouting nearby roads, the accident occurred on Park Gate Road where a vehicle apparently slid off the road. The driver, however, could not be found. Rescue workers scoured nearby woods and fields without success. About an hour after the initial call, the reported driver was found in a yard a few blocks away.
