Mark Smith

Inman, S.C. — Mark Dewitt Smith, 56, of 101 Brandon Circle, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Joe Dewitt Smith and Patsy Ruth Putnam Smith. He was a graduate of Dorman High School and owner/operator of Smith Ironworks. He was an avid Clemson fan, loved to play the piano and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Smith was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Kaylie Smith of Swannanoa, N.C.; a brother, Danny Huskey of Gaffney; two sisters, Cathy Kirkland and husband, Mike of Moore and Donna Morrow and husband, Tony of Boiling Springs; a granddaughter, Scarlett Lytle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2017 at Blakely Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tyler Kirby officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes.
