Timken plant manager announces retirement

Timken’s Gaffney Bearing Plant manager John Milko has announced his retirement, effective May 1, 2018. Mark Propst will take over the position. 

Milko was named to his current position in 2012 and has been with Timken since 1984. In 2000, Milko was named manager of roller manufacturing at Gaffney and was in that role until 2005, when he was named plant manager at the former Timken plant in Cairo, Ga. In 2008, Milko was named as Honea Path plant manager. 

Propst was previously the plant manager in Gaffney before moving to plant manager of Timken’s Shiloh plant in Rutherfordton.

Milko and his wife Caroline will be moving to Florida.
